Born in Shillingstone, Dorset to a farming family. Brought up on a farm with horses, ponies, pigs, chickens, cows, dogs, cats and a very practical mother who loved her veggie garden and herbs.

In 1974 I left the UK for South Africa for two and a half years.  Whilst there I met my future husband. Came back to England for five years, then married in Childe Okeford to return to South Africa again in 1983.

It was 1986, when my first child was born, that I bought a tiny herb nursery and the obsession grabbed me.  It was irresistible not to become a kleptomaniac for all the varieties to be found.

My mentor to be had written a book about herbs.
The launch of said book was an opportunity not to be missed so I went through to Cape Town.

Yvette van Wijk was massively instrumental in teaching me all about herbs, their uses, giving workshops as well as becoming one of my favourite people of all time.

The business grew, people became more aware of herbs, healing and taking responsibility for their own health and well-being.

Now I had my very own business, nursery, workshops, growing and propagating, design, landscaping, wholesale and retail clients, many employees (whom I shall never forget) and I built my business into quite a considerable enterprise in the Western Cape over 37 years.

The old adage of doing something you have so much passion and love for is never feeling you are working at all! It is all so enjoyable.  Whether it's herbs or landscaping plants, the excitement still remains.

Moved back to the UK and am based just outside Sherborne. Am re-launching my natural skin care range, no additives and healing the skin.  Being a keen seamstress, I am also creating the most beautiful bespoke bags, small boxy bags, purses and wallets using mostly Shweshwe fabrics from South Africa and Chitenge fabrics from Zambia.

I shall be offering Herb Workshops, so popular in South Africa, here in the UK, as well as my talks about herbs, their uses and how to make natural remedies, potions and lotions from them.

I intend the Bojo Bags to be largely on line and made to the specification of my client, as well as my cosmetic range.

Have a browse and I truly hope to meet you very soon!
